It is Election Day 2024 and today, I am having conversations with Amy Laughlin and Dr. JB Rose to share some basic tools and practices, beginning with some simple breathing exercises and moving through some additional grounding practices to help us regulate our nervous systems and resource ourselves when we feel anxious, and dysregulated, especially when there is a big unknown, we have a deep desire for a particular outcome and the stakes feel high.

About Amy Laughlin
Amy Laughlin is a Cowry Shell Diviner of the Dagara tradition from Burkina Faso as taught by Elder Malidoma Patrice Some as well as a Breathwork facilitator. After 20 plus years of attempts to heal her own diagnosed depression, anxiety, OCD and anorexia through western modalities, she found the answers she needed through indigenous practices and somatic healing modalities. She hopes to usher in new awareness, compassion and hope for those suffering from mental illness through alternative healing modalities by reconnecting individuals to the true voice of their soul and intuition. Her hope is that we all may remember just how unique, essential and powerful we all are as individuals so that we may become the co creators of the lives we came here to live and embody the love we all deserve to experience.
